CIRT'S EQUINE STAFF
"Wizjonet", otherwise known to us as "Nettie", is a bay Arabian mare, donated by the Fusco family. She was in the Class "A" Arabian shows in English in English hunt seat, hunt pleasure and dressage. She has been in National level horse shows. She is a sharp looking little mare even at the prime age of 19.
Mike is a handsome Quarter horse/Morgan mix. He is 20 years and a very calm fellow. He won Grand Champion at the McClean County Fair in 1994. He is a Western and English pleasure riding horse.
Trigger was donated by a young man with bone cancer. He was given to the young man by the "Make a Wish" foundation. After the young man was unable to ride anymore he turned around and blessed us with Trigger, a beautiful quarter horse palamino. Trigger is 8 years old.
Dusty, originally named "pride's Dusty J.", was donated by Dick Grange. Dusty is a Missouri Fox Trotter and is a very smooth ride. He was used in western trail riding.
"Colby of Ridgemohr"... or just Colby to us, is a chestnut and white Tobiano American Stock/Pony Shetland and Hackney mix. She was donated by Matthew Doll and is a smart, fun little pony. She is 19 years old.
"Jay's Lucky Hank" or just "Hank" for short was a former 3 day event horse and known as the Dressage King. He was forced into early retirement due to an injury and donated by Sandra Mercier. Hank is a very sharp looking and a very loveable paint gelding and he loves lots of attention.
"Colonel's Frosty Boy" looks like he's in charge so we just call him Colonel! He is a handsome buckskin quarter horse and was donated by Nick Novsel. Colonel, 9-years-young, was a cutting and team penning horse before he came to us.
Rusty is an Appendix Quarter Horse. He is a sorrel gelding who has 1st level dressage training. Rusty came to us from the same young man who donated Trigger, because he could no longer ride and wanted other riders to enjoy him. Rusty is 16 years old.
Montana Mainstay is a 25 year old Arabian gelding. He was formerly owned by the owner of Agutucci's restaurant here in Peoria. Montana has been with us quite a while and looks very smart and professional under the saddle.
Strawberry is the oldest pony we have at 27 years old. She is a Welsh pony here on a free lease basis by Kathy Altofer. She was in many a show and a member of the pony club. She is one of CIRT'S favorites as she is very dependable and has a sweet disposition.
Lightening is on a free lease by Karis Parkin. He is a cute little miniature horse that has had a versatile career. He has been ridden Western, English, harness, and been in the gymkhana games. He is about 27 years old.
Captain, 22 years-young, belonged to a 4-Her by the name of Michael W. Bolam. He has been ridden Western pleasure, English pleasure, been on trail rides, in parades and in showmanship classes. He is a very handsome, personality plus Arabian Quarter horse gelding.
