SHOWS AND DEMONSTRATIONS |

The following is a list of outside shows and demonstrations that CIRT will be attending in 2009. Classes are developed for the ability of the rider. When you register for classes you will receive a copy of these events to fill out. You are free to pick which shows you and your rider will participate in. This helps us plan for the year. You can still cancel later if you find you cannot attend.

May 2 - CIRT Horse Show - Rawlings Indoor Arena, Delavan (all riders & all abilities) This is a fun show with 6 classes, three at 9 a.m. and 3 after the lunch break. CIRT also runs the concession stand, which is a great fundraiser for our program.

June 20 - Tri-County 4-H Horse Show - Woodford County 4-H Park, Eureka (all riders & all abilities) This is a fun show with 3 classes, three at 9 a.m. and three after the lunch break. CIRT also runs the concession stand, which is a great fundraiser for our program.

July 12- Wayne Special Olympic Invitational, Wayne, IL (Special Olympic & UPHA independent riders) Opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m. S.O. Show for 4 to 6 riders to fill specific classes. S.O. Riders compete in English Tack in dressage & working trail. All riders can show in UPHA Challenge Cup Class.

July 21 - Tazewell County 4-H Fair-Livestock Review Bldg., Pekin, IL. (all riders & all abilities) This is the 4-H show that helped CIRT get it's start. There are 2 classes at 4 p.m. and 2 classes at 7 p.m. Youth Volunteers, siblings, and riders who enter are eligible to show in the Horseless projects. Everyone can also enter other 4-H classes i.e. crafts, cooking, rockets, photography and 100's more. |

July 28 - State 4-H Horse Show Special Classes, Illinois State Fairgrounds, Springfield, IL (all riders & all abilities). Classes during State Junior 4-H Show. The riders really enjoy this show. |

August 15 - Polo on the Green and Blue Jean Ball, Weaver Farm. Polo Match and other various horse activies and demonstrations to benefit CIRT. This is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year.
**This will be our fourth annual Polo on the Green - we are planning an even bigger event this year! We will need lots of volunteers! Call Jenna or Kathy to sign up. (699-3710) There are lots of fun jobs available and we promise you'll have a good time too!

October 9,10,11 - Youth Charity Horse Benefit Show for CIRT (UPHA Class independent riders and Trail Class - all levels) Funds from this Show go directly to CIRT. This is a great show and should bring in lots of $$$ for our program.
**Volunteer help for gate, entry, etc. is required. More help is needed with classes, handing out ribbons.
